About me
I launched M-Graphx in 2014, back when I was a young girl in high school sketching my hockey dreams on any scrap of paper I could find. What started as a simple passion project has grown into a thriving career, allowing me to merge my love for art and hockey. Over the years, I’ve designed everything from custom masks for young goalies to gear for elite collegiate players, as well as pads for NHL and KHL goaltenders. Beyond equipment design, I collaborate with small businesses in the hockey world, offering branding, logo creation, social media management, and all-around design support to help them stand out.
My Hockey History
I’m both an ice and roller hockey player, having played every position—including goalie—on the ice. I competed in Division 4 roller hockey for Stony Brook University in the Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (ECRHA). Off the rink, I’m a Salt Lake City based dentist, and work as an advanced emergency medical technician, balancing my passion for hockey with a career in healthcare.
Current Work
I design goalie mask wraps and other goalie gear, and I work directly with manufacturers and wrappers to bring designs to life. Previously, I worked with True Hockey / Lefevre Goalie where my designs have been featured by the NHL. As a freelance contractor, I’m always open to new design collaborations, bringing creative visions to life in the hockey world and beyond.
How it works for Mask Wraps
Here's What You Need to Know About the Process
Every mask starts with an idea. Whether you already know exactly what you want or just have a few colors, themes, logos, or inspiration photos in mind, we’ll work together to create a completely custom design for your mask.
1. Your Design
We start by talking about what you’re looking for and building your design together.
Custom goalie mask designs start at $150 USD / $215 CAD, with the final design price depending on the complexity of your project. Send me your ideas and I can provide a more specific quote before we get started.
Your design includes:
- Up to 5 design templates optimized for wrapping
- Collaborative design development
- Opportunities for adjustments and revisions throughout the process
- Final production-ready artwork for your wrapper
My goal is for you to be completely happy with the design before anything gets printed or installed.
Typical design turnaround is approximately 1–2 weeks.
2. Choose How Your Mask Will Be Wrapped
I provide the graphic design only. Once your design is complete, the artwork needs to be printed and professionally installed onto your mask.
You aren't locked into a specific installer. I work with several experienced wrappers in both the United States and Canada, or you can choose someone local to you.
3. Other Installation Options
Already have someone local? That's completely fine.
Your finished files can be provided to another professional vinyl installer, including experienced vehicle or sign wrappers. Self-installation is also possible; however, I strongly recommend professional installation to reduce the chance of printing, alignment, sizing, or application issues.
If you choose your own installer, please understand that I cannot guarantee their printing or installation. Different wrappers may also require slightly different sizing or file preparation.
If an adjustment is needed, I will happily resize or modify the design files at no additional design charge so your installer can complete the wrap. Any additional printing, vinyl, materials, or installation costs resulting from reprinting are the client's responsibility.
4. Design While Your Mask Is in Transit
I know being without your mask can be difficult, especially during the season.
To minimize downtime, we can work on your design while your mask is being shipped to the wrapper. In many cases, this means the design can be ready around the time your mask arrives.
Plan for approximately 1–2 weeks for design and another 1–2 weeks for installation, depending on the wrapper and shipping times.
5. From Digital Design to the Finished Mask
Your digital renderings are designed to give you the best possible representation of the finished mask. However, a goalie mask is a complex three-dimensional surface with curves, vents, edges, hardware, and overlapping sections.
Because a flat design has to conform to those surfaces, small differences between the digital rendering and the finished mask are normal. Certain elements may shift slightly, change proportion, or require minor adjustments during installation.
That's also why I work directly with wrappers whenever possible. If something needs adjusting to make your design work properly on the physical mask, I'll make the necessary file changes.
